Lions at lunch time ~ Reading with C

Hey Ya'll ! Chritmas is just around the corner and I am SO excited :)

So it turns out that monday night, I actually stayed home alone ! And it was fine with me lol. Curtis got on with his coach to go to his game so Nicole and Brian went to Dylan's game with Kennedy and drove Brian to the airport afterwards so they didn't need me. They told me I was welcome to join them but I kinda didn't mind staying in, in front of the fireplace and watching the Sing-Off as Sara Ann had just reminded me it was on. So I enjoyed it.

Tuesday, the morning went really well (surprisingly since Brian had left the night before and its always a not so good morning the following day he leaves). But this one was great. The boys went off to school and I stayed home with Kennedy. She picked up her room just like her mom and I had asked her to and then we went Christmas shopping for her. We went to Walmart and she got everyone a little something. She got both D and C the same thing (each 2 hot wheels cars, a pack of Sillybandz and a pack of Xmas TicTac's). And for her mom and Dad, we picked out a frame and I told her I would get some pictures done to put them in it. She was pretty happy about her shopping. She also got little gifts bags and when we got home, she wrapped her brother's presents. At 1 she had her last gymnastics class so I took her over there but didn't stay at the beginning. I went out to Toys R Us to finish up their Christmas presents. I had already gotten her a fairy crafts book (All sorts of craft ideas invovlving fairies) so I just grabbed a little craft kit to make cute rings. For the boys, I got them each one of those new Lego board games so that should make them happy. I know they really like them as they already have one and are always talking about Legos ! When we came back from Gymnastics I picked up a bit and then it was already time to go pick up the boys at the bus stop to leave right away for Dylan's game in Carlisle (about 45 minutes from here).

His game was a 6:30 so we had to leave as soon as they got off cause he had to be there an hour in advance (they always do when it's games). So we headed that way and I followed the Gps... I was kind of stressed at a certain point because I had no idea where I was going and the stupid thing just had me passing by the back roads really lol ! If it wouldn't of been for the house sizes, I really would've thought I was in St-Jules. So even though I had no time to look around, I actually enjoyed rolling there. And it took us the same amount of time as any other route we could've taken. But ya, we got there on time and everything was great. The game was good and Dylan scored again so we were pretty happy !! And Nicole met us there and she got to see him score so it was pretty cool :) To come back, I just asked Nicole what road she had taken and it was so simply I couldn't believe it !! I actually only had to stay on the Arena road way down until I got Dundass (Main road who takes us back to Oakville)... Which obviously the Gps didn't feel like taking ! Those things are so weird sometimes !! Anyhow ! We got home and went to bed !

As for yesterday, the morning was also a great one and as soon as I got the kids off to school, I headed strait to Mississauga to go shopping at Square one. I actually didn't buy much but it was ok :) I didn't have that much to buy except a few presents so I got Sara Ann's done, and a part of my brother Andrew's done too. Then I came back, did the groceries and got Kennedy's pictures done at the same time. So when we came back from school a little later after that, we wrapped her present for her mommy and daddy. So she put all of her presents under the tree. The boys got home and Bradley came over (Neighboor from down the street which is a really good friend of C's. The played on the ice a little and then him and C went to his place for dinner. When Nicole came home, she reminded me of that Silpada party she had (Jewlery party) and I had told her I would babysit. So after she left, I called up J-f for a little chat and then Curtis came home at 8. We watched tv for a little while D and K were playing upstairs. At 9, we all went up so they could go to bed. Curtis was little dissapointed that his mom wasn't there because they have been reading this book together everynight for a while now (The lightning theif). I was really surprised (but kinda touched) when he asked if I could read to him. So I told him I wouldn't read the lightning thief as it was his and his mom's ritual and I didn't wanna go forward into the book with his mom missing out on it, cause I know she really enjoy's it. So he was totally fine with it and agreed. So he grabbed another book and we read.

"Lions at lunch time".

And we read... And we read.. !!! I know his mom usually reads with him until 9:45 sometimes or simply until he falls asleep cause she knows he will (He takes melatonine to sleep at night). But anyways we read the whole book. It wasn't an enormous one but we read each our chapters so it was obviously a little longer. But I LOVED it. It was just so fun to have this nice, quite and alone time with Curtis. He can be so nice and sweet. I love that kid. Anyhow I was still up when Nicole got home, looking at some pictures and videos from the floods and damage down home. She said she bought a couple of nice things and asked me not to tell Brian lol ! She is going to receive them threw the mail. We both went to bed and it was almost 11:30.

I knew I was going to have trouble getting up this morning (which I did !!) but anyways... So I got up around 7:15 this morning but it didn't matter really cause the kids all only got up around 8. Nicole was working from home today so when we saw that Curtis was just getting up around 8:10, she said to me not to rush them for this morning and that she would drive them to school so they would have a little extra time since they weren't taking the bus. Curtis had been up threw the night because one of his knees hurted. Nicole said it happened a few times not long ago and he didn't hit himself anywhere so she figures it is growth pain. I feel for the poor kid because I have had growth pain in my knees too when I was younger and gosh did it ever hurt. Anyways she gave him tylenol and he went back to sleep but we figured thats why he was up later this morning. But they both manage to be ready on time. Kennedy took her bath and when she came out, we baked some banana and chocolate chip muffins (mama's recipe) :) They were reallllly good ! Afterwards, I did alote of cleaning and passed the vaccum all around the house while Kennedy watched Tv and Nicole worked. She later went out to get some stuff done so Kennedy made crafts and I called up my dad, and then my mom.

They both mentionned how they are looking forward to seeing me next week. And I can't wait either. I can't wait to see all of them.. Especially my lovely boyfriend... I miss him so much. And he misses me too, he says it all the time. He was definitely right the other day when he was saying that our couple will be stronger after this. Not that it wasn't or anything like that, but it still will be. We had never been seperated so.. I miss him so much... I can't wait. I will probably get a drive down from Qc with his uncle's girlfriend on the 22th. My flight leaves Toronto the 22th and I will be in Qc at 10Am that morning. Sara Ann will come pick me up so I am pretty excited about that too :)

So tomorrow is the kids last day of school before their Holiday break. They all finish earlier. The boys will be in around 2:30 and Kennedy after lunch I think. Then it will be the weekend :) And thenn... Only 2 DAYS of work :)

Oops ! I did it again...

Over a week has once again passed since my last entry... Oops !

Last weekend (dec. 4th & 5th), I actually worked because Curtis had another tournament but Brian wasn't there to take care of the other kids and they had games and practices. The tournament was at about 45 minutes from here so they spent their days there between games. Friday night after Dylan's game (He scored again :), we were SO happy !), we headed over to this little pub to go have a drink with a few families. The Jackmans were there too. But we actually just went in, sat down, got back up and left lol. The place was just too small and kids were cranky and not feeling it. So we didn't even bother ordering drinks when we saw a few were leaving ! The Jackmans stayed but not for long. We left and went home to the fire place :)

Saturday night was Kennedy's Christmas skating party. Everyone (parents, friends and brothers/sisters) could bring their skates and join in. I don't have mine here so I didn't but anyways Nicole didn't either. Her and Curtis got home on time for us to all go together. Dylan didn't come and went over at a friend's house. So the two other went on the ice and Nicole and I went upstairs to the bar and had a beer with Greg (Jackman). It was really fun. The music was a sirius radio so the channel was 90's on 9 which was great because we all had flashbacks and lots of fun singing and moving to the old hits ! Greg and Peggy are really nice ! Peggy was on the ice at that moment but us three had a couple of good laughs just chatting up there. Greg is Hilarious ! So after the skating hour, the kids came up and had pizza and cake while we continued chatting with other parents. Around 9, we all left because the kids were pretty tired.

Sunday, Nicole had to go back with Curtis because he was playing finals at 2. I went to Dylan's practice and then came back home. Gail was coming over with Nicole after C's game because she was sleeping over. The day after (monday), her and Nicole were heading to Buffalo to get some Christmas shopping done so Nicole told me to sleep in. They were going to get the kids ready and bring them to school and then head over to Buffalo. So it was like my day off for not having a weekend ! But I didn't care really because I had nothing else better to do and plus, it gave me extra money ! So I can't complain about that !!! They got home around 7:30 that night so the kids were pretty much ready for bed. And tuesday morning, Brian got home.

Kennedy and I made crafts for a little while and then I did some cleaning around the house. It was a nice regular day and that night, Brian went to Dylan's game and Kennedy and I went to Curtis' practice ! She ran around with a little girl while I called Sara Ann so the hour went by fast !! Coming out of there, we went to the train station to pick up Nicole who was coming home from work. I don't remember if I mentionned it but she does that sometimes to leave both cars at home. And that morning she had picked Brian up at the airport so he dropped her off at work and came back home with the car. When we got home I came down to my room and talked to Jf for about an hour. I miss him SO much ! We are both really looking forward for Christmas time :) Especially that he's got a week off. Should be fun !

Wednesday, for the first time since I'm here, everyone was ready on time (and at the same time) so we all walked together C, D, K and I ! Once I got back, I did a little laundry and some picking up. Brian had a little shopping to do and then he put up the Christmas lights outside :) Its cute ! At 2 o'clock, Kennedy had her Kindergarten Chritsmas concert so Brian and I went to see her. It was cute ! a few Xmas songs and poems and then cookies and juice in her classroom :) Fun ! She came back with us.

Thursday, Curtis stayed home because he had a bad headache since the night before and was starting to feel sick. He wasn't to bad in the afternoon and even played around with Kennedy. And he even decided he wanted to go to his hockey game but we could tell he wasn't felling that good cause he wasn't playing like he usually does. Anyhow it got a little worst and he stayed home friday to. He had fever and wasn't feeling really good. I was off friday since Brian was there so when I got up, I went walking a bit and decided to take the bus to do more of my Xmas shopping. It went pretty well, I got more stuff and now I only have a few more to get so i'm pretty happy with that. Friday night, Nicole and Brian had a hockey game at 9 so I babysat the kids and it went really well. They were are really tired and stuffed up so they all went to bed by 9. I satyed up pretty late and went to bed a little after B and N got home around midnight.

Saturday, I took it easy and didn't do much. The kids had games in the afternoon so when Brian came back home with Dylan, he told me they were going to head over to the Jackman's and asked if I wanted to get on. They were invited there for dinner. So the three of us went over and Nicole and the other two came over after C's game. It was great. The Jackmans LOVE to have people over at their place so there were about 10 of us there (not counting all the kids) just sitting at the HUGE Island in their beautiful kitchen and having snacks while Greg was cooking supper. He made this beautiful roast that he just sliced up and we made ourselves sandwiches. Really simple but it tasted amazing. And we had lots of good wine with that too. A few people left and we stayed there a while just the two families. As Brian was telling me on our way there, the Jackmans are really like their second family. In the summer time it all happens at the Goddards (The Jackman's don't have a pool) and in the winter its over at their place. They are really nice, down to heart and easy going people and I really enjoy their company, just as much as the Goddards. (+, Greg is a Hot man!) Lol ! Anyways, it was a beautiful evening.

Yesterday (sunday), Kennedy had a game a 12 and Dylan had his Christmas party at 3 so we headed there after the game and it was quite fun. Its a kind of community center where you can rent the place for parties and stuff like that but its pretty cool cause it's all supervised. So the way it worked out, the kids had an hour in a gym with monitors and then an hour in a pool section with lifegards. So the whole time, the parents could just check on their kids threw the window and have a little chat. Afterwards, they served pizza for the kids and Nicole had brought a cake. They gave the team members each a little bag of goodies which they absolutely adored (Oakville Rangers water bottles, Calvin Klein boxers with the team logo and each their number on them, a necklace with their number, candies, etc.)! Around 5:30, it was all done so we went back home. The kids had a blast. When we got home, we decorated the three on the main level in the living room. The kids had done one upstairs the day before but we did this one all together. Nicole invited me to join them and said "I'm sure this is making you wanting to be at home so just jump in... I know how you like this kind of things and when you'll get home you probably won't have a tree to decorate so feel free". She was right I kind of felt sad to not have been home to do the trees. But I was happy to at least do one this year :) Lets just say with the kids, its a pretty colorful tree !! But its cute :)

Today I was off also so I didn't do much. Got up around 9 and no one was here. I picked up a bit upstairs and had breakfast. Came back down to clean my room. I was thinking of going out to do some shopping but I'm kind of felling lazy so I'm just taking it easy ! I can go wednesday ! Tonight, there are 2 games + someone has to go bring Brian at the airport so I still don't know what the night will look like but I'm guessing i'll be doing something in there !!

I am starting to count down the days left until I got home and I am so happy to say I am now under 10 days of seeing Jean-François and our families. I talked to Dad, Andrew, Dan, Mom and Grandma Sexton this weekend and I just can't wait to see them. Plus Jf's mom and dad send messages once in a while to say they can't wait to see me. I'm also looking forward to seeing Sara Ann and the baby during the holidays :) I already have a few dinners and parties planned and I can't wait. It's going to be good to be home. If only it could snow a little down there instead of raining ! Anyhow.

I won't make any promises this time but I will definetely try to write again soon :)

The washing machine

Yesterday was a nice day! Kennedy was off so she was home with me. Earlier this week, I had bought Home Alone 1 and 2 so yesterday, I had her watch the second one (she watched the first one the day before). I told her all about how much of a classic those movies were for me and how I couldn't go a holiday season without watching them at least twice. And it is true... They are definitely some of my all time favorite movies. I never get fed up of them. Gotta LOVE Macaulay Culkin (aka cousin Joey Boudreau when he was young) <3.

So I watched it with her while picking up. I knew Gail was going to come over in the afternoon with Kaleb and Kendal (Kelly's son and daughter). Kelly is Nicole's sister. She lives in Calgary but was down with the kids for a few days. I actually mentionned them in my monday blog when I said they came for dinner. So yesterday Gail was keeping them with her as Kelly was gone over to the States to do some xmas shopping with a friend. So they came over around 4 and played with Kennedy. When the boys got home from school, I headed strait to Glenn Abbey (Arena near by) with Dylan because he had a practice at 5. We were all suppose to go but Gail offered to stay home with the rest of them. Curtis had a game at 7:10 (also at Glenn Abbey) so she said she'd drop him off around 6. He could stay there and get ready on his own until the game so I went back home with Dylan following Gail and the other kids. So we had time to have dinner and get back to the rink for Curtis' game. T'was a busy but fun night. Kaleb is 3 and was pretty impressed with Curtis' playing. He was so cute to watch, clapping his hands and yelling "go Curtis" !

Nicole was stuck in traffic on her way back from work but she actually managed to get there on time for the game too! So it was great. The only thing is the boys didn't play a really good game and weren't into it that much so they lost 2-0. I shouldn't say that because they actually manage to keep it tight until the end but they just didn't do the right moves at the right moments and didn't pley their positions right. The other team just didn't let go and played a perfect game. Just too bad the parents from the other team were very bad "cheerers" ! Kinda weird but we didn't make any case of it. I guess they are always like that. Nicole said most of the teams are nice and have nice and polite cheering but this Orangeville one was just not one of them ! Anyhow... Look at me all talking about hockey as if I know a whole lot about it ! Its actually kind of cool though cause I'm starting to really enjoy it and getting addicted to it ! I caught myself screaming at Curtis and Nicole was like : "Whoa  ! Look at you getting all into it, good job, thats what he needs !!!" I just get so nervous. It was definitely an awesome game to watch though ! Very stressful ! Anyways when we got back home it was Kaleb and Kendal's last night here so they stayed a while even though it was late. They all played together and left with Gail around 9.

Yesterday afternoon, we got the washer and dryer delivered and I was alone here with Kennedy so I had to handle the stupid guy that delivered it! They were suppose to install everything but Nicole had told me "Tell them to simply install the washer and leave our dryer there. They just have to leave the new dryer in the garage and we'll handle it from there. Just get them to do the washer". And the guy who sold it to her was really nice and had said that when they deliver, they install... So I don't know what was wrong with this guy but he didn't want to install it because of..... Well that's the part I couldn't get... I couln't understand his Jamaican accent at ALL !!!! Like he explained to me how to do everything and told me it was simple so I just couldn't understand why he couldn't do it. Ok he did tell me like 3 times after I asked him "Ok, so tell me why you can't install it again ?". Nicole couldn't believe it ! She called Steeve up (guy who sold it) and he was very discouraged about that and couldn't believe it. So he said he would take care of sending someone today (friday). But when we got home from the game, we did it ourselves. The guy was so stupid he didn't even know which one was the cold and hot water.... Ok I don't know much about pipes but when there's a blue sticker on one and a red one on the other I pretty much assume that its clear the blue is cold and the red is hot... I mean common.... Anyhow ! Nicole called back and spoke to another guy which was really nice too, just like Steeve ! She explained everything to him to and said "I just wanted to let you guys know you don't have to send anyone tommorow because me and my nanny got it done on our own, which that stupid delivery guy couldn't manage to do". So I guess the guy started laughing and said "good job! On our side, we will take care of kicking that guy's but when we see him" and laughed again ! Nicole said thank you and hung up. We were pretty proud of ourselves ! And the washer looks SOOOO good ! And it makes nice music when you turn it on and off and when your load is done ! We just stood there for about 30 minutes looking at it while it did our first load ! Then we figured we just looked dumb so we got outta there ! Here the awesome machine ! It'll look so good once the dryer is there too ! Nice steam machines too so we can't wait to use that on our jackets and see what kind of a job it does :)

How lame is it that I just put up a picture of a washing machine ? Sorry ! I love appliances ! And it makes me want to shop for some for when we move in me and Jf :) Anyhow, we got the kids to bed and headed there ourselves afterwards. This morning was pretty hectic because Curtis was very active ! he was in a good mood but just wouldn't listen at all. They weren't going to school right away because Nicole had set them up with doctor appointments and she had took her day off so they left around 8:30 with all of their school stuff so whenever they are done, she will simply drop them off to school. It was pretty much what you can call a bad morning because all 3 of us (Curtis, Nicole and I) were in a not so good mood about Curtis' actions. But anyhow... We managed to stay calm and he finally got things done and went out. It's always worst when Brian or her are there because he knows it and just uses it to be more aggravating. so when she had Dylan and Kennedy ready, she left him alone with me so I talked to him and he was a bit better (Not completely but anyways)... He finally went out the door when I said I wasn't sure his mom was going to let him go to his tournament this weekend after the way he had been acting and not listening this morning. Think that kinda freaked him out so he hurried out the door lol ! But anyways... Good morning for the rest of us ! :) There just will be days like that, thats it ! I already have half of the laundry done and most of my house cleaning so I guess this afternoon I will take it easy and prepare something for dinner. Nicole will pick up Curtis at 2 to leave for his tournament so I'll be alone with Dylan and Kennedy. Dylan had a game around 6 so we will go there and Nicole and Curtis will come meet us there after his game.

Have a good one Y'all ! :)

Please forgive me.

So last tuesday (november 23rd), was Dylan's 7th Birthday. Kennedy and I went shopping for cute decorations and stuff to prepare the Loop bags for the children that were attending the party. We picked up quite a few things and had lots of fun blowing the balloons up and setting up the house. It wasn't going to be a huge thing... Just a few of Dylan's friends and a bit of skating on the rink downstairs. A little hockey party :)

It was a great party and Dylan was really happy with the setup, the familly, the friends, and the gifts (especially the I-pod touch). I knew I wasn't going to be there for Kennedy and Curtis' birthdays so I didn't want to buy a gift or anything so I simply made him a card. But he was pretty happy with it. I simply drew the logo of his hockey team and that made it :) Plus, I knew I wanted to get them all something for Christmas so I figured he'd be alright with that, and he was. So it was a really nice and good night, and Dylan was very happy. Here are a few pictures.

I have been a bad girl, not writting for so long so I know I can NEVER do this again because I already forgot a few things.... I do know that the day after Dylan's party (wednesday), the boys got up, played with the Lego and Ipod and went off to school but then what did Kennedy and I do ? I remember picking up the house and taking off the decorations but besides that... Woupsy ! Anyhow, I think it was a good one ! And then Brian flew in later that night and got home when we were all in bed. So thursday morning, we got up and he was there. The kids were really happy to see him. I am finding this pretty bad because I actually don't remember much of that day either. OH ok I do ! Jillian (youngest of the Jackman's) came over for a play day with Kennedy. So that was awesome because they are the same age and get along very well so it was easy for me and Brian to do what we had to do because the girls were busy having tea parties and dressing up !

So I washed all the bed sheets and Brian did his thing. In the afternoon, we took the girls with us and went to the bank because we wanted to open a joint account so I could have access to money for groceries and gas all the time. On our way back, we stopped for Ice Cream :) That night, Curtis got his stuff ready as he was leaving with Brian in the morning for a hockey tournament. So that friday morning, I didn't have to get up because Brian was there so I was able to sleep in a little. Although I usually have a 4 day weekend when he is there, this one was different because of the tournament. So I actually did work, but only in the morning because Nicole was working from home, but only in the morning.

So while she was doing so, Kennedy and I watched Tv and went to do the groceries. Nicole mentionned that she was inviting me to "Pub Night" that night (If I wanted to go, which I did !) if she could get a hold of the little neighboor to babysit but it turns out she wasn't there so we just stayed in. We didn't really care for it anyways because we were both tired. It's simply a night they do once every other week with the parents of the Oakville Rangers hockey teams. They send e-mails to let them know where and when, and they meet and have a few drinks and chat. Nicole says it's fun because they can of course talk about hockey without the kids, but they can also catch up on subjects they don't usualy talk about in arenas ! So we said we would definitly attend one sometime.

OH and the main thing...... Sad, stupid and anoying thing : I didn't pass my math test. I got 70. I got my result that past wenesday I just mentionned earlier (the 24th). So that was definitly a desapointment. I was kind of sad.. Only 5 points missing... But anyhow... The next writting is Feb. 9th so I'm just right back into it now trying to do as much as possible. I am hoping that this next time will be the good one. And like my mom said, if I look at it from another point of view, I can make this overwhelming experience last longer and earn a few extra bucks to prepare our future home and get appliances for when we move in next spring. I had a good talk with Jean-François before deciding to persue because I wanted to be sure of our decision. And it turns out he was just great about it...

"C'est comme toi tu veux Lyne, tu m'as tjrs respecté dans mes choix. Peu importe ce que tu fais, j'va être content pour toi. Donc c'est ta decision. Pis comme tu dis on peut s'organiser pour se voir une coupe de fois. Si t'aimes ça pourquoi tu resterais pas ? Je t'aime bcp Lyne, xxoxo"

And then there was my mom....

Maman xox

And then Sara Ann....

I think you should stay ! You really seem to love it and now is the time to do stuff like that !
Like you wrote on your blog,  you know your relationship is strong !
Yay Belette !!! What a MAN ! Haha !
Love Youu BUgzy

And of course the fact that Nicole and Brian really seemed happy and told me they would love to have me stay for a while. So after crying a bit reading those messages, I decided I should stay. And I knew the hardest part was going to be the distance with me and Jean-François but at the same time, I thought "What if I had studied in another university than Rimouski?". I definitely wouldn't of seen him as much as I did. I mean in Rimouski, I was down home EVERY weekend. And then I thought about my third stage that I had wanted to do out west.. And then of Sara Ann who did it with Jay so many times... I just figured we were strong enough and that this was something we could easily go threw (Ok not EASY but not too bad!). So my decision is made. I am staying in Oakville until may. And the thing is, Nicole filled me in on all the good details that they offer when someone stays long enough ! So here's what I get :

- I keep my 4 day weekends once every other week
- I have 4 sick days
- And I have 10 days of paid vacation

So here is how it works out... Nicole mentionned that for them, it would be easier if I did not take those 10 days all at the same time.. Which was fine with me. But then it was even better when she mentionned this :

"So if you would want to, you could take 2 days off of your 10 vacation days once in a while and stick that to a 4 day weekend. So say you would take a thursday and a tuesday off, well then you would have thursday, friday, saturday, sunday, monday and tuesday... You would actually have 6 days to go home or have your boyfriend come!"

This is amazing, I thought. So I just figured I could do that like once a month and it would be WAY more easier to get threw it if it was to get any harder for me! Plus, Jean-François would be taking a full week off in the middle of my journey so that would split the run in two and help :) I really loved the idea of that. And I was back to happy !

So back to my week... Since we didn't go to Pub night, we went to bed early friday. Saturday, I slept in until like 10am and when I got up, no one was home. I looked up on the computer and Kennedy had a Bday party (yes another one) and Dylan a practice. I decided I was going to go take a look at "Oakville Place", the shopping center not too far from here which I hadn't been to yet. I went online to see how the transit worked and where the nearest bus stop was. Turns out I had to walk about 5 minutes to get to one. So I Bbm'd Nicole to let her know where I was going to be and I took off. When I set foot outside, snowflakes were coming down. My first snow of the year :) I was really happy !

I shopped a little (Boots, tuque, tank tops, pyjays and a cardigan) and came back around 2:30. Nicole and the two kids got home but only to prepare for Dylan's practice. She asked me if I wanted to join them but I kinda felt like staying in. I was tired of my shopping ! So she said they'd be back around 6 and that we'd go out somewhere for dinner. She had just put a load in the washer but before leaving, she realized it was leaking a bit... She told me about it and said "Ah, I think i'll just put a few towels on the floor to be sure but it shouldn't make a big mess, its not leaking much and it'll only be running for 30 minutes cause it's a small load". Alrighty then !

After they left, I went down and started to straighten my hair and make my makeup. As I started putting my earrings on I noticed a weird sound but couldn't figure out what it was... I walked out of the bathroom and as I saw it, I simply stood there for at least 10 seconds.... Water was running threw a pantry downstairs... And around the sealing lights. Lots of water on the floor. I felt weak in the knees but it wasn't a good weak like when you have butterflies or something. I thought I was going to die ! I texted Nicole right away and she took care of having Brian calling me. While I was waiting, I went upstairs to stop the washer and when I finally got Brian on the line, he told me what to do to turn the water off in the laundry room. Fortunately, that solved the problem because it would of been way worst if it had continued. So I just threw some towels downstairs, started mopping and taking out the stuff to wipe the shelves and make sure nothing was ruined ! And nothing was so even if it seemed bad and sounded crazy for Nicole, it turned out not too bad.

When I first saw it happening, I figured "No dinning out tonight" lol. But it turns out there was really nothing more we could do besides picking up and replacing everything so when they got home, Nicole took a look at it and decided we were still going out. It was really delicious, we went to this Italian restaurant called The Olive Press. Very good. We were kind of scared about the walls being damp but it was nice and warm in the house so Brian said not to worry about mold or anything because it was going to dry up quickly. So Nicole was pretty happy. When they got back from the tournament sunday, Brian looked it up and it was the pump and the seal that had fallen in to the washer so water was just flooding out ! Nicole had mentionned before that she didn't really like that washer so we ran out to Future shop before it closed and shopped for a new washer (and dryer without brian approbation!!). She actually just got the washer but when she got home she had him take a look a the dryer and so he went out and bought it monday morning. They are really nice and Red ! :) Laundry will be fun !

So monday night Dylan had a game in Caledon (about an hour from here) so we all hopped in the van and went to see him ! Brian was also taking the plane right after so his things were all in with us too. Dylan's game was REALLY fun and exciting ! And a goal and and assist so that was great. It was his first goal of the season so everyone was pretty proud. And so was he. Before leaving to come back, Nicole's mom put all of the laundry in the van (she had made a bunch of loads since we were without one!!) and so we left to go bring Brian.

Yesterday (tuesday), Kennedy and I went shopping for a gingerbread cookie shapper to make some cookies again. I decided to buy Disney's A Christmas Carol but when I got here, I never got to play it. At about 1 minute into the movie, it would just freeze and there was nothing to do with it. I tried it in different players and it still didn't work. So while Kennedy was at Gymnastics in the afternoon, I went back to change it. Turns out it did the same thing. But I mean... EXACTLY the same thing... It stopped at the same moment. So I thought it must of been a problem with the whole batch so I looked it up on internet and I found out that it had happened to a few people over in Canada but even in a few places in the states... So I decided I was going to bring it back and simply take my money back.

So anyways today Kennedy stayed home because she was sick during the night last night but in the afternoon she was feeling just fine. So I took her out with me to go to the grocerie store to get a few things and I made it to Walmart too to get my money. Turns out they can't give it back if it's open (stupid) so I could only change it (either for another one the same or for a different movie)... So I decided to give it another try. Plus I bought the two first Home Alone's (My all time favorite movies). But the Disney one still did the same thing... 3 copies and the exact same problem with the three of them. I had read on internet that a women had called Disney and that they had sent a good one back... But I don't know what i'll do yet... That's the kind of thing I always wonder what I should do... By the time I get it back.. I'll see ! I might just call to see what they say ! But anyhow... Tip to all : Do not buy Disney's A Christmas Carol ! Nicole told me Brian could burn it for me so :)

So ya today, Nicole texted me to say her sister and two kids were going to come for dinner with Gail so I decided to do chicken Vol-au-vent and they simply loved it so I was pretty happy ! I was surprised to know they hadn't had it before. It was a good night with fun kids and nice women to chat with.

So this was definitly long and I seriously cannot do this again because I will regret it !!! And I won't remember ! And when I want to read it in a few years, I will wonder what happened in those long periods where nothing was written ! So for myself and for the ones who have been waiting (wink-wink), I am sorry and I will try not to do this again ! Please forgive me.

Poor Dinosaurs...

After the game yesterday, Brian's parents came over (so did Gail) and gave Dylan his Bday present as they aren't going to be there for his party tuesday (tomorrow). He was really happy to receive Star Wars legos (twice because his friend he had over saturday night also gave him a different kind of star wars lego). They left around 3:30 and I went up with Dylan after he asked me to build them with him. I have to admit I was quite happy. First because he wanted me to but mostly because I LOVE LEGOs !!!

For dinner we had pasta (Snakes on a plate as the kids call it) and it was delish ! I came down to skype with my babylove and BBM'd Sara Ann a few times before going back up to relax and watch Tv. Kennedy went to bed and the rest of us watched "Last day of the dinosaurs" on Discovery Channel. It was a first time special in 3D and Curtis had been waiting for this show for a while now so Nicole had mentionned he could watch it all even if it finished around 9:30. Turns out Dylan wanted to watch it too so after the few first minutes, we asked him if he was ok with it since it was "parental discretion advised" but he said he was fine. I didn't think I'd like it that much but it's actually REALLY good and interesting. The boys were quite amazed with it too. Dylan would once in a while mention it made him a little sad to see what happened to them so Nicole reminded him that it was called "Last day of the dinosaurs" and that he knew how it was going to end. But he said he was fine. After it ended we all went to bed.

I didn't notice anything as I am in the basement but this morning when I got up, Nicole said that Curtis had gotten up quite a few times during the night mentionning he felt sorry for the Dinosaurs... We were both surprised as it was Dylan who seemed a bit upset... Turns out he probably didn't see it as being "for real" while Curtis understood it more so he's the one that was deranged by it... So I guess he woke up Kennedy so they both finished in Nicole's bed and she was then awake for a while... So they didn't sleep but surprisingly, Curtis was quite good this morning. They all were. Nicole had taken her day because she had an observation session in Kennedy's class this morning and she wanted to do as many things as possible to get ready for Dylan's Bday tomorrow. Plus she was going crazy with her hair needing to be done so she had set an appointment do get her coloring done and get it trimmed.

I on my side did some cleaning and picking up in the family room so she was quite satisfied with that when she got home. She said the family room felt good to look at ! When she came back, it was almost already time to go get Kennedy so we had time to watch all of  Ellen with Justin Timberlake on :) At 3, we walked over in the pooring rain to go get Kennedy (and forgot our umbrellas) and as soon as we came back, Nicole left with her as she had set a appointment for her too at the hair Salon. She actually got one for the boys too at 4:30 so at 4:10, I went with the van to pick them up as they got off the bus and headed strait to Venere Salon & Spa to go meet Nicole and Kennedy there. They had just done her hair when we walked in so Nicole went over to grab us each a Starbucks as we waited for the boys to get their hair done !

When we went out, Nicole headed to a sports shop nearby to get mini hockey sticks to give the kids tomorrow instead of goody bags full of Dollorstore junk. Curtis and I went over to Metro to start getting the few things we needed and they came to meet us there afterwards so Dylan could pick his cake. Curtis and I went strait home to unpack the groceries and Nicole went by McDonalds to get dinner. We both didn't know what to do so she said it would be alright for tonight and quick with no dishes to do so it was fine.

After dinner I did Dylan's homework with him, skyped with Jean-François and picked up my room a bit. I am now "chillaxing" in my room and I think I won't be going to bed too late. Tomorrow, Kennedy and I will go out to get what's missing (Wrapping paper and decorations) and will each do a card fo Dylan. He is having 4 friends over and we will be having hot dogs and pizza with the Delish looking cake he picked! I'll try to take a picture tomorrow before it's all down our bellies ! Nighty night little Dinosaurs :) xoxo

A little storm in Oakville - a few Snowflakes in St-Jules

Thursday morning seemed so easy just because of the meltdown the morning before !!! The boys were very calm and listened quite well. They went off to school and I stayed with Kennedy. We both showered each our turns and then were ready for our day.

We started by doing our cookies that we wanted to do and had lots of fun. It was one of those already prepared thingies in which you only have to add an egg and butter. So we prepared our dough and refrigerated it for an hour while watching Tv. We then rolled our dough out and made our Snowflake cookies that we decorated with other snowflakes and sparkles :) Kennedy was really happy with the result and thought they were excellent. The boys were happy to eat them too when they came home !

After cleaning up, we had lunch and went to the grocery store to get a few things that were missing. On our way back, Kennedy wanted to do her Ballet dance again so she dressed up while I searched for the song. I filmed her doing her dance and we took a few pictures. She then sat down to do crafts while I did a bit of house cleaning and picking up. At 2, we watched Ellen and I thought " how lucky am I to be spending my days with Kennedy dancing, doing Crafts, baking and listening to Ellen" ! I couldn't believe she liked Ellen. Just as much as I couldn't believe how she knew every lyrics to every Hit songs. I mean... Ok her mom works for SiriusCanada and Kennedy always wants to listen to the Countdown on the Hits1 channel but... She's good ! And fun :)

The two boys each had a game that night in different arenas so I had all their stuff ready as well as dinner for when they got home. nicole was going to be in around 5:45 so they had to be fed and ready. Curtis had to have his shirt and tie on and Dylan his Oakville turtleneck. So I made them Cod fish fillets with potatoes and corn (they love corn) and made sure the boys got dressed up. When Nicole got home, we all hopped in both cars and went each our ways ! I went with Curtis to his game against Burlington and Nicole and Kennedy went to Dylan's game. It was a good night because both boys won their games. And Curtis scored a goal so me and Gail (Nicole's mom who came to his game too) were very excited ! We got home and watched iCarly on Family channel for a while and then went off to bed.

Yesterday (Friday) was definitely not as good !!! With the kids it was fine but the rest my day was pretty dull ! The kids all had school so after walking Kennedy and coming back, I looked up the nearest Desjardins Caisse on internet and set it in the GPS. The closest one was in Mississauga, so about 20 minutes but that was fine because I wanted to shop a bit after and it was right next to Square One Shopping Mall which was really big and had fun stores and boutiques ! So I took off on the highway like a big girl and made it to Mississauga. I made it to the Desjardins building but had to park in an underground parking so once I do so, I had no idea where to go. Nothing was indicated so after walking around for about 10 minutes in the parking, I finally found an elevator. So I went up and saw this security guy that explained where to go. I had to go out and then in to another building beside. So that's where I went. When I had looked it up on internet, it said there was a Atm machine and a counter i could go to but it turns out it was really only an Atm machine and a tiny little office for I don't know what but the guy told me the only way for me to change my cheque was to go downtown Toronto to a Desjardins Service thing.... wow... I was not impressed !

I got out of there and went strait to Square one after trying to find a parking (not underground) for about 15 minutes where I could get GPS and phone reception. I just figured I had to go downtown one day or another so I decided I'd go but then I couldn't find anything in the GPS. So I texted Sara Ann telling her I really needed her right now (I really only wanted her to look it up on internet and call me back but I think I didn't say things the right way) so I scared the crap right out of her ! She didn't answer right away cause she was still in bed so I called my mom. After being on the phone with her for almost an hour, I was still sitting in the parking lot with this huge shopping center saying HI ! COME SHOP ! to me when my mom finally found a few numbers and adresses of Desjardins in Toronto I could call. So I did because I wanted to make sure they could change my cheque. Turns out they couldn't cause they were only offices and stuff like that... I got a text from Sara Ann saying

BUGZY ! I'm trying to call and there's no answer... I'm super worried !!!
I hope je panique pour rien. Call me !

I was on the phone with my mom when she wrote this so I didn't see it right away ! When I hung up I saw it... And another one !!

I was still sleeping ! I tried to call you and I also called Nicole's !
What's up ?? I'm worried Call me ASAP !!

WOUppps ! Didn't wanna freak her out but I guess I did !!! So i texted her my situation and then called her after she mentionned it would be easier to just get an account done with another bank or something. So we talked a while and I reasured her ! Bahahah! So my drive to Mississauga was a fail because it was just worthless. I texted Nicole to tell her I was going to open an account here and to ask her where I should go. She mentionned PC was good and free and they were partners with CIBC. So I went to Loblaws in Oakville to open an account and I knew from then on it would be easier for everyone because Nicole wouldn't have to physically write a cheque every week and she could just set up a tranfer or just do it online and deposit directly in my account. So I was thinking everything was finally going to be ok and I would still have time to shop a little afterwards. It was 12:30 and I only had to go get Kennedy at 3pm so I was fine. At least I thought I was.... As I was finishing my things with the guy from PC, I got a text from Nicole...

Hey Lyne ! Just got a call from Curtis' school and apparently he is not feeling well.

As I was about to answer and say "Ok I'll be there in 15minutes, I'm coming"... She added :

Said he wasn't sure if he had his medicine this morning. Do you remember if he did ?

OH MY GOD ! I almost died... I texted her and told her he didn't ("How stupid am" I thought). I just told the guy "Ok I have to go" but the only thing left was to create my pin so I did it in a hurry and went flying out the door. As I was about to faint in the van she texted again.

No worries ;) (I was relieved when I saw the smily) Would you be able to pick him up within 30 minutes ?
He's in the office and can wait a while.

So I said I was on my way ! And right as I started the van, my phone buzzed with another text !

Ok Lyne, so the school called again and turns out he wants to stay.
There is a medieval presentation and Mr. Coady said he had no problem with him staying
and that he'd keep him close by. So no worries, you don't have to go.

See U later :)

I just sat in the van for about 5 minutes grabbing my head. I suddenly had a huge headache. I couldn't believe I had forgot about it. I knew it wasn't all my fault because he usually takes it on his own but... I still have to check and remind him... And I completely forgot about it. Needless to say I didn't want to do no shopping anymore... Maybe it would of helped but I just wanted to go home. I didn't really have any cleaning to do but I still did some just to take my mind of things and calm down. And at 2, I watched Ellen and felt much better ! At 3, I walked over to get Kennedy and when we got home, I prepared snacks and Dylan's hockey stuff because he had practice at 5 and we all had to hop in the van as soon as the boys would get home. Nicole was only going to be home later. When Curtis came in the door I asked him how his day went and he said not too bad. He said the afternoon was much better and that their presentation was awesome. I was relieved ! Dylan had a sandwich and we left for the arena.

When we pulled in to the parking lot, Nicole texted me

How's everyone doing ? Is C boucing off the walls ? :P

He was actually pretty calm and fine ! His medication usually wears off by that time anyways so it was ok. She said she'd be home around 6:30 so she'd make pizza ! When we came home, the Jackmans were there and had supper with us ! It was pretty fun. We had a glass of wine and when they left, Nicole and I were both played out. She put the kids to bed, we talked a bit and she said not to worry about what had happened today... Her and Tania (the last nanny) had already forgotten more than once... So I went to bed thinking my day seemed worst than it actually was. And I had a thought of my whole week and figured it was a pretty good one overall ! But I was still glad it was the weekend !

This morning I got up around 9, just before they all walked out the door for Dylan and Kennedy's hockey practices. I talked to Jean-François, showered, had lunch and wrote on my blog :) They came back around 12:30 and had lunch. And now they are about to go to Dylan's hockey game so I think I will hop on since I never saw him playing a game yet ! And I have nothing else to do !

It's snowing down home and I kind of wish I could be there but... I am still happy to be here :)

A great day and an explosive start to another good one.

Yesterday was a very good day. Nicole stayed to work from home and Kennedy didn't have school. The boys went off to school and were very calm all morning. I gave them their breakfast, they got ready and played a while before leaving. When they left, I picked everything up in the kitchen and living room and made crafts with Kennedy. I had took a couple of books from home with me so I had one with all these art project ideas and lots of nice stuff so I took it out. Kenny was amazed and said that we should try doing all of them projects before Christmas. The book was quite big so I told her I didn't know if we'd have time but it turns out just yesterday, we did 4 or 5. So we just may be able to go threw it all !

I cooked her dinner and around 12:30, Nicole and I went out with her to go to her gymnastics class that was at 1. It's about a 5minutes drive only but they wanted to show me other places where they often go either to get stuff they need, prescriptions or simply to shop a little. So we went around this little outside mall where there's a Shoppers Drug Mart and a few little places where I could go with Kennedy on her days off. Nicole mentionned this little salon where her and Kenny get their nails done sometimes and also this new potterie place called "Croc a Doodle" where you can go and paint different pieces. So I will definitely look it up and maybe bring Kennedy there one of these days :) Before heading to Gymnastics, we stopped for a Starbucks (Peppermint Mocha YUMMMMMM) and Kennedy got a white chocolate milk. In Oakville, Starbucks are just as present as Tim Hortons (if not even more). I was already in love with Starbucks but now I think I will definitely get addicted. Especially with those Holiday drinks <3

So Gymnastics was cool. Brian had warned us to bring a book but it wasn't that bad. By the end, Nicole and I were starting to get sleepy but it was fine. It's a HUGE gymnastics gym with ALOTE of equipment. There was a few people working out pretty seriously because they probably compete so it was pretty impressive but watching the kids was really fun too. Kennedy is actually pretty good. And it's cool because the parents can't go in but there is this watching room upstairs with nice comfy couches that you can sit on and watch threw a big window wall. So that was fun. A bit before Kenny finished, Nicole and I went around the place. The Gymnastics club is in the Oakville recreation centre where there is also a public pool, a training gym, the library and two skating rinks where alot of the practices and games will be held. So now I know where three of the arenas are (3 on 9 that is !!!) Thankfully I have a GPS furnished in the van so i'll be good to go ! Up until now though it's ok and i'm finding my way around pretty easily.

When we came back from Gymnastics, I looked up to see what we could have for Dinner so Nicole and I decided to have beef tenderloins with rissoto and veggies so I took the Van and went out to Monastery (That Italian bakery that I will probably mention pretty often now !!) to get the tenderloins and bread. Yayyyy, my first drive out alone ! So I got the stuff and as I was about to pull out of the driveway, Nicole texted me...

Yikesss ! My mom and cousin are coming over for dinner...
Can you grab extra tenderloins ?

So I went back in to grab those ! And then on my way home I started to panic... I figured she didn't want me to do dinner for them but I still wasn't sure... I imagined burning the tenderloins and over cooking the rissoto and making a fool out of myself... But as the (usually) calm person that I am, I got over it and made my way home. And anyways I was right. Nicole told me not to worry about anything and that she wasn't going to make me do supper for her family !! But I did offer to help her out so I cooked the rissoto and veggies and she took care of the meat and garlic bread. Her cousin was a truck driver and was stuck in a truck stop for some reason so when Nicole's mom heard about it she called him up and asked if he wanted his old auntie to go see him ! So when Nicole heard about it she invited them over. She hadn't seen her cousin in forever. He lives in Miramichi (NB) but is from Nova Scotia. So they came over with a bottle of wine and it was just perfect for our dinner. Everything turned out quite good and the kids enjoyed it too.

Nicole's mom and Nathan (her cousin) left around 8:30 so I helped out Nicole with the dishes and then sat down with Curtis to do his math homework, as it was already pretty late. Before they went to bed, I read Curtis and Brandon a story in french. They really enjoy someone reading them stories so that was fun too. It calmed them down before going to bed.

This morning was quite hectic... I got up at the same as Curtis and everything was going well. I made him his breakfast and prepared the lunches. When Dylan and Kennedy got up, they had breakfast and then they started fooling around. When the time came to close everything for them to go get ready, things started heating up and they wouldn't listen. I was trying to get them to be quite as Nicole was in bed (She stayed in because she wasn't feeling good). They finally went up and it wasn't too bad but Curtis who has ADDH was having a bad morning and didn't want to cooporate at all. I was feeling so bad because I knew Nicole was awake and I didn't want her to get up but time was flying  by and I had to go out of the house with Kennedy at 8:35 tops to walk her to school. And I was thinking "He has to go too because I can't leave him here alone"... Ok he wouldn't exactly be alone since Nicole was in but I just had in mind that normaly, she wouldn't be there.

I was starting to get freaked out when Nicole finally got up... Needless to say I was very dissapointed and feeling bad but before going into his room, she looked at me and said "I don't want you to feel bad, i'll take care of it". She went in and things got worst but she finally got a hold of him and did what she had to do... The things is she knows him alote more than I do and I still didn't know exactly how to react to him... When I came back from walking Kennedy, he had left on time. Nicole said that he was very ashamed and sorry when he left... Before leaving, he gave her a big hug and said "I'm sorry, I don't know why I did that... Tell Lyne i'm sorry". She told me that and said that mornings like these don't happen very often but they still do sometimes... She said she was happy to have been home for me for my first "Curtis Crisis" and said that it if happened again, I was just to go with Kennedy and by the time i'd be back, he would have calmed down. He had his medication when he got up but she says sometimes it just doesn't do it when he's about to have a melt down. It's as if he can't control it. So even though it sounds aweful, it actually went not too bad and Nicole told me I probably saw him at his worst. So that was reasuring. At the end of our conversation, she just added "So ya... That was Curtis".

I think the fact that their last nanny left after being there for a few years + Brian leaving to go out west after being at home 3 weeks in row didn't help. I talked about it with Nicole and we figured the best thing to do would simply be to make it clear that I am not going anywhere (At least not until Xmas). That way it'll be clear in his head and Nicole said it might be easier for him to figure it out. Anyhow... It still wasn't that bad !

As for the rest of my day, it went well. I did some cleaning and some laundry and took a couple of breaks to do my phone calls and watch Ellen. Then at 3 I walked back to get Kenny and when I got back I prepared the sheppards pie for our dinner. Curtis had shooting practice at 7 so while he was gone I did Dylan's homework with him and sent him and Kennedy to shower. We then sat down and watched Tv for a while and when Nicole and Curtis got back around 8, we all went to bed. We were all quite tired and needed it. So tomorrow Kennedy and I have are day all planed out ! We will be baking cookies in the morning and doing crafts in the afternoon !

A couple of you mentionned you would like to see the house and neighborhood so in the next few days, I will take pictures and post them. Meanwhile, I already have a couple of the inside. It is very nice and cosy and I am in LOVE with the kitchen.

When you get in the house, the laundry room, closet and a little washroom are on the right. In front is either the stairway to the second floor or if you go strait ahead, you get to the kitchen and living room in the back of the house. If you turn left as you come in, there is an open space that serves as an office and another dinning table which is never really used and where you can find another fire place and some of Kennedy's Crafts stuff. Upstairs are the four bedrooms and two bathrooms (A main one and one in the master bedroom). And if you head downstairs there is my room and a washroom and the rest is an open space in which Brian built an inside rink. More pictures in the following days :) Nighty night readers.

Meeting Toronto and The Goddards

No need to mention how excited and nervous I was when we landed in Toronto saturday night (and it wasn't because of the plane) ! I was just hoping for things not to be akward and to go smoothly. Right as I landed, Nicole texted me to ask if I was there. She said that her, Dylan and Kennedy (which are the two youngest ones) where on their way to come meet me. So I answered that I had in fact, just landed and that they could wait for me at arrivals. She sent me a short description of what they were wearing and told me they'd be near Tim Hortons at arrivals. So I grabbed my luggage and made my way up to go find them.

I had a warm welcome with hugs and kisses and after introducing ourselves, we made our way to the parking lot to hop in the van and head "home". Curtis and Brian were at a Maple Leafs game so I was going to meet them later. On our way to the house, which was about a 20 minutes drive, Nicole and I chated about nothing and everything and she mentionned that the kids all had a hockey game today (sunday). So she showed me around on our way there and told me that the van would be my vehicule (on weekdays) to bring the kids to and back from their practices and games (if her and Brian weren't able to make it) but she said that their hockey schedules were all on the home computer and that it was quite easy to figure out where we had to be and when.

We finally pulled into the drive way and I recognized the house from the videos she had sent me earlier that week. We made our way in and I felt like I had already been there. Dylan and Kennedy went  up to put their Pj's while Nicole and I went down to my room in the basement. She showed me where everything was and gave me the internet access password. My room was beautiful. I had saw it on a picture but it was even better. I had a nice desk and closet, a phone and a big flat screen Tv in front of my bed. Plus, I had my very own washroom. And the walls were brown :) LOVED it !

She showed me around the rest of the house. Dylan has a Guinea Pig and Curtis a lizard. I told Nicole I wasn't too familiar with them but she said I wouldn't have to deal with them which was why they were in the boys rooms. They took care of their own pets, fed them and cleaned them. But I didn't mind taking them just to try. She showed me where the three bathrooms were and repeated to make myself at home. After the kids went to bed, she served me a glass of wine and toasted to our new living experience. Nicole was very nice and easy going like I thought she would be. The boys got home around 11:30pm so we shaked hands and chatted a while with Brian. We went to bed around midnight and Nicole said to be in no rush to get up in the morning since their games were all in the afternoon and sunday was usually their lazy day. So I went to bed with a very good feeling about my stay here until Christmas.

Sunday morning I woke up around 8am. I got up, took a shower, made my bed and went up. Kennedy, Dylan and Brian were up but Nicole and Curtis were still in bed. I made myself a toast and sat with them to watch tv. The three kids had a game but Dylan's was earlier and he had to leave before because it was at a further arena. As for Kennedy and Curtis, they were both playing at the same arena which has two skating rinks. Kennedy was getting on for her game at 12 and Curtis on the other rink at 12:30. So around 11am, we hopped in the van so Nicole could show me around a bit before we went to the arenas. We went to the bank and around town a little and then headed to go to the games.

Curtis knows his way around the arenas and doesn't need any help so me and nicole went with Kennedy when we arrived. She is quite mature for her age and she got all dressed up on her own. Even I probably wouldn't know where to place what equipment !!! The only things she needs help with is her skates and her helmet. Her game was really fun and cute to watch. She is with the White Dragons in the timbits league (an all girls team) and her team members are ages 4 to 6. They seperate them in three categories and switch the line ups every two minutes. We have the cherries, the bananas and the stronger girls which are the apples. Kennedy is a banana and she did quite well ! I have to admit it becomes kind of long since they are quite young and there isn't much action but at least the periods are only 10 minutes each ! And it is really cute to see them going :)

Dylan and Curtis both play for the Oakville Rangers but in different teams. Nicole and Brian were updating theirselves on the games by texting so by 12:30 when Curtis got on the ice, we knew Dylan was done and he had tied his game and played very well. Curtis's game was definitely awesome to watch. Lots of action and excitment. They won 5-2 and Curtis played quite good also. At the arena, I met the Jackman's (friends of the family) who also have kids who play hockey. They introduced theirselves and told me we were going to get to know each other alote either in arenas or at their house for Dinners once in a while. They seemed really fun and nice. Nicole's parents also came down to watch the game and afterwards, they came over to the house for a bit.

After they left, Nicole and I went over to this Italian bakery not too far from their place which is called "The monastery bakery & Deli". I was in heaven and I thought "She should of never shown me this place"... at least not before a few days before my departure ! All sorts of fresh bread, desserts, cheese, meat, salads, ETC. ETC. ETC. !!! Oh my.... Anyhow... We grabbed a fresh loaf of bread and a couple of other things and went home and had lunch. Afterwards, the kids went to play outside and me and Nicole went around to see where all the things for school were (bags, lunch bags, food for lunches, etc.) and she showed me how the schedule for the hockey games and practices works. We chated a bit in the living room and watched tv for a while. We had lunch pretty late so we didn't plan much for diner. Anyways Nicole had to go to this birthday party with Kennedy at 6pm so Brian and I just sat down and played Wii a bit with Curtis and Dylan.

When the girls came back, we all had a piece of pie from the bakery and watched tv a little but we all went to bed early since the coming day was monday. At 9:30 I was in bed and ready to go !!! I had called my mom and then Jean-François earlier and had a good chat with both of them. They were happy to know everything was going good. As I layed in bed falling asleep, I thought "This was a good first day in Oakville".

This morning I got up when my alarm went off at 7am. I got ready and went up. Nicole was up but no one else yet, so I started the lunch boxes. They were all off to school this morning. They got up one after the other so I gave them their breakfast and chated with them. Dylan was the last to get up and Nicole had mentionned he had trouble getting up and always wanted a bit of tv time and breakfast upstairs. She had left around 7:45 and Brian was at home so he took care of bringing Dylan his raisin toast and I finished up the school bags. At 8am, everything goes off (Tv, games, etc.) so they can get ready. So I sent Curtis and Kennedy to get dressed, comb their hair and brush their teeth and Brian told me he was looking forward to spending time with them as it was his last day home before his week out west so he'd take care of getting them ready for the rest of it. When it came time to go, Kennedy didn't wanna leave. She was crying and saying she didn't want to go to school so me and Brian talked her into it and finally left, a little back on time. The boys had already went out the door to be sure they wouldn't miss their bus. We walked Kenny over to school and she called her mom on our way there so that helped too ! Brian said she was usually the easy one in the morning but he figured it was the cold she was catching with a mix of "I don't want my dad to leave tonight" and of "I don't know Lyne enough yet" that caused her breakdown !

But the rest of the day went amazing. I cleaned the kitchen and living room, did the dishes and emptied the dish washer. Brian likes to do stuff around the house when he is home so he raked the leafs and did a few things outside while I was passing the broom. We then went out to walmart and the grocerie store to get some things we needed and to show me around a little more. The day was fun. At 3pm we left walking to go get Kennedy at school and came back. Around 4:30 I put the chicken and potatoes in the oven an sliced up the veggies. I also prepared a plate of carrotts and cucumber for the kids to have as a snack when they got home. Nicole had mentionned it was an easy way to get them to have their veggie portion for supper cause they didn't always finish what you'd give them in their plates. The boys played hockey downstairs with Brian while I finished supper. Kennedy on her side was having fun dressing up and coming down to show me her dresses and costumes. She invited me to a concert that was going to be held later that night in the living room ! She is so cute. She already had her ballet costume and Tutu on !

We had supper and the kids really liked it. I cleaned up and made a plate for Nicole for when she'd get home and I headed downstairs to have a quick chat with my boyfriend on facebook :) When Nicole got home we went threw the homework routine but I only watched from the living room cause only Curtis had homework and Brian did it with him. The children went to bed around 8:30 and Nicole left to go bring Brian at the airport. I prepared the stuff for the morning and went down to take my shower. When Nicole came back, we had a good chat and headed to bed ! She is going to get up in the morning for Dylan's 6am practice and I will take care of the rest. They should be back at the house for 7:30 and she will be working from the house and going to Gymnastics with Kennedy and I tomorrow morning.

It was a great first day of work with the Goddards. I am really enjoying this. The house, the neighborhood and the family are all nice. And even though it's a money place and it's all nice houses and rich people, it's nothing compared to St-Jules and I wouldn't trade it for the world :)
